Myles has a background in literature, where he developed an understanding of film theory and adaptation. As a minor, he studied philosophy to gain insight into the history of intention and metaphor. After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Literature, Philosophy and Media, he pursued study further with his honours but discovered that films resonated with him on a more personal level. This realisation led him to complete his first short film in 2022. Having primarily worked in public relations and literary theory, he found it rewarding to transition into film production at the VCA, where he has written and directed two short films.
